Members have a dedicated relationship manager with knowledge of the UN, to help identify areas of engagement with the UN pertaining to member priorities. Services include assistance in connecting with UN initiatives, identifying potential partnership opportunities in areas of shared interest, and collaborating with UN Missions and the broader diplomatic community.
BCUN reviews the UN calendar on a regular basis to identify opportunities for participation in formal and informal events, on topics of interest. Some of these meetings and events have included the private sector consultation for the High-Level Panel on Access to Medicines, the World Humanitarian Summit, the side events at the Commission on the Status of Women, and the private sector consultation on WHO-FAO-OIE’s High-Level Meeting on Anti-Microbial Resistance.
BCUN Members can share their views or experience with the global community at select UN meetings. Members have spoken at the UNGC Private Sector Forum, Every Woman Every Child High-Level Events, side events at the Financing for Development Conference in Addis Ababa, as well as numerous high-level events and panels in the lead-up and during the UN General Assembly.

Member-driven luncheons offer a venue for leaders from the international community and private sector to talk about issues that directly impact the global business environment. Generally held at the UN Delegates Dining Room, these events include Q & A sessions as well as networking receptions. Recent themes include non-communicable diseases, the ageing global population, disaster risk management, and sustainable energy. Panelists have included Permanent Representatives from UN Member States, senior UN Officials, and executives from civil society organizations and BCUN member companies. BCUN members have the opportunity to sponsor and help curate these events.
